Who is Monique Mukuna?

Monique Mukuna Mutombo (born 11 February 1974) is a Congolese politician. She is the first woman to declare her candidacy for the 2016 presidential election.

As announced, Monique Mukuna Mutombo, the declared candidate in the presidential election of the DRC exercised her civil rights by enrolling this 17/08/2017 on her arrival in Kinshasa.

MONIQUE MUKUNA MUTOMBO was born February 11, 1974 in the mining town of Kolwezi, Katanga, Democratic Republic of Congo, DRC. Mother of two children. His father is a native of Kasai - Western, of the tribe of Bakua Ndolo. And his mother, a native of East Kasai, the tribe of Bakua Mulumba Bakua Tshileu. Read more


She quit her high school to Ukweli institute in 1993 in the middle of the fifth year literary. Her family, like many others from Kasai, were driven from the city and some killed. Despite this disruption of school, she decided to attend the baccalaureate a year later, as an autodidact in Lubumbashi, the main city of the province and the country's economic capital.
